Andrew van Dyck, "Self-Portrait", 1623

I don't really get any feeling from this self-portrait. I don't think anyone could. Most artists made self-portraits because they had become a staple amongst artists at the time. I think it's a well done one at that, but this wasn't meant, at least I don't think so, to give a feeling. If anything, it gives a feeling of "Hey, I can paint."
