Rule of Thirds

In this photograph by Annie Leibovitz, you can clearly see the Rule of Thirds being utilized. The rule of thirds is very basic yet effective when it comes to the composition of photos. In this case, each figure is placed in each vertical third of the print but the mad hatter in the back is just to the left enough to make the composition even more interesting. The same goes for where they are horizontally in the frame.
