In this piece of artwork the artist is conveying an art style called objectivism. This art to me is showing to different emotions on either side. The left side looks more like fear being portrayed. the fact that the face in the composition is looking at the snakes and paying more attention to that side of the artwork tells me that the main point of focus. The snakes could symbolize some sort of fear the character has. The right side portrays sadness. The whispy lines of sweat coming from the character face shows nervousness and or tears of agony. The fact that the character has a beard growing shows time going by and or slacking off at keeping everything clean cut.
