This piece by Gerhard Ritter titled, Martu, purely uses watercolor. His time consuming techniques of layering watercolors on top of one another result in achieving realistic shadows and tones on the face. His work has been recognized by The Artist magazine in the United Kingdom. I hope to achieve some of the similar realism the Ritter achieves in all of his works he produces.
