Prevalent Findings II by Lisa Ridgers

Prevalent Findings II by Lisa Ridgers   is an example of modern day abstract art. I think that this image is a great example of emptiness. The way that the dull colors work with each other makes me feel as though it is an abandoned landscape on a hazy night. Also the simplistic composition of the image shows only 3 different linear parts but no patterns or anything that pops out at the viewer. I get the feeling of emptiness or aloneness from it but for some reason although those emotions are not comfortable for me to feel I am surprisingly okay with feeling this way toward this piece.
